Michelin Restaurants in Rome

In Michelin Guide Italy 2016, there are 334 starred restaurants. In Rome, there are 1 ***, 2 ** and 13 *. For whatever reason, 1 of the ** restaurants is closed.

Of the remaining 15 resturants, I did a search on TripAdvisor to see how they stand among 9173 restaurants. The result as of 31 Jul was as follow:

*** La Pergola - 32
** Il Pagliaccio - 780
* Acquolina Hostaria in Roma - 1580
* All'Oro - 660
* Antonello-Colonna - 5807
* Il Convivio-Troiani - 227
* Enoteca la Torre - 635
* Guido Ballerino - 2344
* Glass Hostaria - 288
* Imago - 97
* Metamorfosi - 51
* Pipero al Rex - 26
* Aroma - 261
* Enoteca al Parlamento Achilli - 3086
* Stazione di Posta - 956

Interesting to see the ranking can vary quite widely, even though most of them are in the top 10%. The surprise is Antonello-Colona. Do you trust the Michelin inspectors or the general public?

For this trip, I only managed to get to eat at Pipero al Rex, which was a good choice.

Some have restrictive opening hours that are very difficult to work into my itinerary. Some are fully booked already and one is not opened despite the opening hours are on their FB page. It is highly recommended to make reservation early when you plan for the trip.
